What everybody wants is proof of God - that the Bible is really His word.

A dear lady asked me this question and it started me thinking.

You want proof that there is a God, that the Bible is for real - here it is - the Jews!

The most hated, persecuted, bad mouthed, attacked, maligned people ever to grace to face of this planet.

Love them or hate them you should at least have an idea of what History has to say about this people.

History records the Crusade by the Catholic church to wrest the Holy Land from the Muslims and the Jews and to place it in the hands of the Church.

History records the Muslims in the same manner taking control of the Holy Land for themselves

History records the Romans ruling over the Holy Land with an Iron fist and as far back as two thousand years ago naming it Israel Palestina.

(Note: - Did you know before Israel/Palestine was retaken by the Jews that the Palestine Post was a Jewish Newspaper, that the Palestine Orchestra was a Jewish Orchestra and that the Palestinian Brigade in the Army was a completely Jewish regiment?

What has happened?

The hard times suffered by the Jews (and Historically recorded ) when they were known as Palestinians prior to the 1950's have been hijacked by the now resident Arabs living in Israel. These Arabs have relations living in the surrounding muslim nations. So now they cry out of hundreds of years of oppression when they've only been there for a few decades. Somebody's lying!)

History records the scattering of the Jews to every land (just about) across the face of the earth in the face of terrible persecution in their homeland.

All these in accordance with the Bible.

History records that amazingly after more than two thousand years without a homeland, without a nation, with out peace they managed against all the odds to take back what was once their home land - in the late 1940's.

Jeremiah 31:3 The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, [saying], Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.
4 Again I will build thee, and thou shalt be built, O virgin of Israel: thou shalt again be adorned with thy tabrets, and shalt go forth in the dances of them that make merry.
5 Thou shalt yet plant vines upon the mountains of Samaria: the planters shall plant, and shall eat [them] as common things.
6 For there shall be a day, [that] the watchmen upon the mount Ephraim shall cry, Arise ye, and let us go up to Zion unto the LORD our God.
7 For thus saith the LORD; Sing with gladness for Jacob, and shout among the chief of the nations: publish ye, praise ye, and say, O LORD, save thy people, the remnant of Israel.
8 Behold, I will bring them from the north country, and gather them from the coasts of the earth, [and] with them the blind and the lame, the woman with child and her that travaileth with child together: a great company shall return thither.
9 They shall come with weeping, and with supplications will I lead them: I will cause them to walk by the rivers of waters in a straight way, wherein they shall not stumble: for I am a father to Israel, and Ephraim [is] my firstborn.
10 Hear the word of the LORD, O ye nations, and declare [it] in the isles afar off, and say, He that scattered Israel will gather him, and keep him, as a shepherd [doth] his flock.
11 For the LORD hath redeemed Jacob, and ransomed him from the hand of [him that was] stronger than he.

After numerous attacks, against overwhelming odds and suffering incredible loss of life the Jewish people secured their homeland.

Zechariah 12:2 Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah [and] against Jerusalem.
3 And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.
4 In that day, saith the LORD, I will smite every horse with astonishment, and his rider with madness: and I will open mine eyes upon the house of Judah, and will smite every horse of the people with blindness.
5 And the governors of Judah shall say in their heart, The inhabitants of Jerusalem [shall be] my strength in the LORD of hosts their God.
6 In that day will I make the governors of Judah like an hearth of fire among the wood, and like a torch of fire in a sheaf; and they shall devour all the people round about, on the right hand and on the left: and Jerusalem shall be inhabited again in her own place, [even] in Jerusalem.

This was inspite of almost unversal condemnation from the U.N. (who spends about one third of their time discussing this tiny tract of land) and from their Arab neighbours (who to this day still do not show Israel on any of theri maps). Also in the face of Naval blockades from even the British and Americans (at the time) and terrible slaugher in Europe.

Every attack against them has failed (in accordance with the scripture) - in fact the Bible only mentions one man that will prevail against them for a little while (The Antichrist - the real one this time)

These verses in the Bible were written at least twenty five hundred years ago and against every device of man and the old serpent the Jews have fulfilled this millennia old prophecy.

Other Proof.

The state of the world

Matthew 24:6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all [these things] must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.

The state of people

2 Timothy 3:1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,

The State of the Churches

2 Timothy 3:4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,
7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

What more would you like?

The fallen state of man?

When was the last time you had to teach a child to lie, steal, or be disobedient?

The answer is you don't- they seem to be able to do that all by themselves. You have to spend time teaching them to tell the truth, not to steal, to obey.

The Bible says

Isaiah 64:6 But we are all as an unclean [thing], and all our righteousnesses [are] as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.
Matthew 15:19 For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:
Mark 10:18 And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? [there is] none good but one, [that is], God.

Romans 3:10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:
11 There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.
12 They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.
13 Their throat [is] an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps [is] under their lips:
14 Whose mouth [is] full of cursing and bitterness:
15 Their feet [are] swift to shed blood:
16 Destruction and misery [are] in their ways:
17 And the way of peace have they not known:
18 There is no fear of God before their eyes.

You and I have a problem - and the Word of God provides a solution.

John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Mark 1:14 Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God,
15 And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.

So make a decision

Ezekiel 18:32 For I have no pleasure in the death of him that dieth, saith the Lord GOD: wherefore turn [yourselves], and live ye.

TODAY!

Proverbs 27:1 Boast not thyself of to morrow; for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth.
James 4:14 Whereas ye know not what [shall be] on the morrow. For what [is] your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.
